“Considering that the current socio-economic state of the population of older persons in Nigeria requires urgent intervention, this strategic summit is an apt and strong call to national action on the rights, care and needs of our older citizens, more so, because the development of a nation is measured by the standard of life of its citizens” – Prof. Tunde Adeniran KJW, OFR, FCPA, former Minister of Education and Ambassador Plenipotentiary to the Federal Republic of Germany, presenting his keynote address at the 2nd National Conference on Ageing, organized by the Coalition of Societies for the Rights of Older Persons in Nigeria (COSROPIN).
