As a follow up to the first media parley where representatives of media houses in Enugu were introduced to the Oxfam-Voice funded project on curtailing elder abuse in communities being implemented by DDF and CGE Africa, a second media parley was organised by CGE Africa on 13 December 2019. The objective of the meeting was to engage the project’s media partners in a discussion to ensure they effectively report the next twelve months of activities with the rightsholders. Mrs. Uchenna Idoko (Executive Director of CGE Africa) moderated the workshop. She called for feedbacks from the journalists on their experiences in reporting and publishing the activities of the project so far and challenges faced. Attendees included representatives of CGE Africa, DDF (Nneka Acholonu Egbuna, Chinonso Onyia, and Nkemkanma Nwobu), and representatives of media houses; Solid FM, The Authority Newspaper, Nigerian Tribune, NTA Enugu, Daily Post, BBC, Radio Nigeria Enugu, Leadership Newspaper, The Sun Newspaper, African Examine, Enugu State Broadcasting Service, The Oracle, National Light, Vanguard Newspaper.
