These are primarily Federal Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies responsible for policies and programs relating to Dewdrop Foundation’s focus areas and target groups. Some of the MDAs the Foundation is registered with, and/or has done implemented some projects with over the years include:

Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development

In 2006, DDF registered with the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development and initiated discussions on modalities/strategies for the domestication of the Child Rights Act 2003 in some States in Nigeria.


Federal Ministry of Health

DDF is registered as an NGO with the Federal Ministry of Health to provide its services, including certified training and medical missions to the public


Federal Ministry of Education

DDF is registered as an NGO with the Federal Ministry of Education and supports the Ministry through its advocacy, skills development and capacity building programs.


Federal Ministry of Environment

DDF is collaborating with the Federal Ministry of Environment’s Department in charge of renewable energy on its Community Development and Women empowerment programs.


NEPAD

The New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) is a socio-economic flagship programme of the African Union (AU). NEPAD’s four primary objectives are to eradicate poverty, promote sustainable growth and development, integrate Africa in the world economy and accelerate the empowerment of women. NEPAD Nigeria office has the mandate to identify and work with partners in the public and private sectors, including the Civil Society and International Organisations operating in Nigeria, to develop, implement and promote NEPAD programmes at the country level. Dewdrop Foundation is a pioneer NGO with NEPAD Nigeria since 2005.


NAPTIP

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) is the Federal Government of Nigeria’s response to addressing the scourge of trafficking in persons. It is a fulfilment of the country’s international obligation under the Trafficking in Persons Protocol to prevent, suppress and punish trafficking in persons, especially women and children, supplementing the United Nations Transnational Organized Crime Convention (UNTOC). In 2006, Dewdrop Foundation established a relationship with the Agency to protect abused victims of human trafficking and domestic servitude (aka modern day slavery).


National Directorate of Employment (NDE)

DDF formalized its partnership with the National Directorate of Employment in 2006 and gained the status of a Master trainer with the organization. The Foundation issued NDE certificates to 2006/2007 participants/graduands of the DDF skilled empowerment program. The NDE supported successful graduates with a little allowance to start up their businesses in 2006.


Universal Basic Education (UBE)

Dewdrop Foundation worked with UBE on skills empowerment program in child care, and Train-the-Trainer workshops for some school teachers and Caregivers in Abuja, FCT.
